Fan-made video ad for BTS’ J-Hope displayed in Seoul accidentally leaves a ‘p’ out of ‘rapper’

  • A large fan-made video advertisement for BTS’ J-Hope’s first solo album “Jack in the Box” mistakenly spelled “rapper” as “raper.”
  • The video advertisement, created by two Chinese fan groups, was displayed Friday on a large outdoor screen on the Coex building in Gangnam, South Korea.
  • HopeUranus, one of the fan groups behind the ad, apologized for the mistake and explained that they were not native English speakers and were in a rush to edit the video advertisement.
  • A video uploaded by the fan group’s Twitter account showed the updated version.

BTS fans were horrified after discovering a large fan-made video advertisement for BTS’ J-Hope in Seoul had a very noticeable misspelled caption.

To celebrate the release of J-Hope’s first solo album “Jack in the Box,” the video advertisement was displayed on the Coex building in Gangnam on Friday. It was created by Chinese fan groups HopeUranus and Heimdallr.

With the release of his single “More” on Thursday, J-Hope is the first BTS member to release a solo project following the announcement of the group’s break last month.

The music video for “More” provides a taste of J-Hope’s forthcoming debut solo studio album, “Jack in the Box.” The album will be released on July 15 at 1 p.m. KST in both physical and digital formats, and online and in-person pre-orders for the album were made available starting on June 27.  

J-Hope to become first Korean headliner for major US music festival main stage at Lollapalooza

  • BTS member J-Hope is set to make history as the first South Korean artist to headline the main stage of a major U.S. music festival at this year’s Lollapalooza.
  • Lollapalooza Festival will take place in Chicago’s Grant Park from July 28-31, with J-Hope as a closing performer on the last day.
  • Also announced for Lollapalooza is BTS labelmate group TXT, who will be making their U.S. music festival debut on the July 30.
  • Other artists at the festival include Zhu, Audrey Nuna, Kygo, Dua Lipa and Green Day.

BTS member J-Hope is set to headline at Lollapalooza in Chicago’s Grant Park, making him the first South Korean artist headliner on the main stage of a major U.S. music festival. 

The BTS rapper and dancer will help close out the four-day festival from July 28-31. He and his fellow group members have been keeping busy with an upcoming album, visiting the White House and returning to Korean music stages.

A Polish TV show is under fire for disrespecting BTS member Jungkook during a segment by criticizing his looks and mistaking him for a completely different artist, J-Hope.

BTS fans, also known as the ARMY, are trying to make #dziendobrytvnisoverparty go viral on Twitter after the TV show Dzień Dobry TVN ridiculed one of their idols Jungkook in a segment about TC Candler’s “100 Most Handsome Faces” list for 2019 on Tuesday, according to Radiozet.
