To be fair, there is no shortage of proof that Filipinos are indeed among the best singers in the world. Homegrown talents (Lea Salonga, Arnel Pineda and Jake Zyrus) and stars of mixed ethnic heritage (Bruno Mars, H.E.R. and Olivia Rodrigo) all seem to exemplify that vocal prowess does come naturally to those with Filipino blood. A singing quartet from South Korea got a standing ovation from “America’s Got Talent” judges and audience members after performing their rendition of “All My Life” by K-Ci & JoJo in an episode aired on Tuesday.

Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja, the girl who made jaws drop for her epic national anthem performances, has gone viral again, but this time for her cover of “Dance Monkey” from Australian artist Tones and I.

The Indonesian American 8-year-old has impressed her followers with her singing voice as a family member accompanies her on the piano, according to Daily Mail.

‘Crazy Rich Asians’ Director to Make Movie About Filipino Legend Arnel Pineda

Crazy Rich Asians” director Jon M. Chu is now in talks to helm the movie that chronicles the story of Arnel Pineda, a Filipino singer and songwriter who became the lead singer of iconic American rock band Journey.

Warner Bros, the studio behind the film, is now in negotiation to license original Journey music for the movie. The studio also acquired to the 2012 documentary about Pineda’s rise to fame titled “Don’t Stop Believing: Everyman’s Journey,” according to Deadline.
