Filipino American singer and actress Lea Salonga received her first Grammy nomination for her work on a Broadway musical album, “Once on This Island.”

The show which also won Best Musical Revival at this year’s Tony Awards, is nominated for Best Musical Theater Album.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, Salonga said that she had to go to the Grammy website to confirm the news.

“Had to actually go to Grammy.com to see if it was true. And it’s true! I am officially a Grammy nominee!!!”

Salonga, 47, is known for her roles in musical theater. She is credited for originating Kim in “Miss Saigon” and being the first Asian woman to win a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical (1991) for that role.

She also provided the singing voices of two Disney princesses, Princess Jasmine and Fa Mulan.

“It may be a while before I get any sleep tonight! So thrilled to share this with my Island family. And that at 47 years old, one can still have a first!”

Salonga is nominated alongside co-principal soloists Phillip Boykin, Merle Dandridge, Quentin Earl Darrington, Hailey Kilgore, Kenita R. Miller, Alex Newell and Isaac Powell. Producers Lynn Ahrens, Hunter Arnold, Ken Davenport, Stephen Flaherty and Elliot Scheiner are also nominated for the award.

“Once on This Island” is up against “The Band’s Visit,” “Carousel,” “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert” and “My Fair Lady.”

She also took to Twitter to share her excitement with fans.
