Japanese singer Ado releases animated music video for ‘One Piece Film: Red’ official theme song

  • Japanese singer Ado released an animated music video on Wednesday featuring the “world’s greatest diva” Uta singing the official theme song of “One Piece Film: Red,” titled “Shinjidai” (“New Genesis”).
  • The music video was animated and directed by illustrator Hmng and choreographed by Elevenplay dance group member Mikiko.
  • In addition to the official theme song, Ado will reportedly work with six other artists on the songs for “One Piece Film: Red.” The tracks and their music videos will be released and teased in the leadup to the movie’s Aug. 6 premiere, with the full album set for release on Aug. 10.
  • To commemorate the release of the animated music video, “One Piece” creator Eiichiro Oda released a special illustration showing Luffy, Uta and Ado on stage.

‘One Piece’ dominates list of most searched for anime series by state, study reveals

  • “One Piece” was ranked as the most Google-searched anime of 2021 in 25 out of the 50 states in the U.S., followed by Pokémon” (No. 2) and “Naruto” (No. 3).
  • The animated series, which is based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga of the same name, debuted in 1999.

Eiichiro Oda’s “One Piece” has kicked off the new year with an epic Coup de Burst by taking the top spot for the most Google-searched anime of 2021 in the United States.

The study, conducted and published by CenturyLinkQuote on Jan. 14, gave insight into which states searched which anime the most, ranging from classics to newly released titles. The results showed that “One Piece” was the most Google-searched anime in 25 states – half of all the states in the entire country – including New York, New Jersey and Florida.
