A father has blamed the violence in New York City for the death of his Uber driver son, who was shot in the head during a shoot-out in Harlem last weekend.

What happened: Kuldip Singh, 21, was hit by a stray bullet during a shoot-out in the vicinity of West 131st Street and Eighth Avenue on Saturday, according to ABC7 New York. A 15-year-old boy was also critically injured.

Rikishi makes a public plea: Professional wrestler, Rikishi, 55, whose real name is Solofa F. Fatu Jr., took to Twitter to ask for help in the case of Tofaeono, who he said was his niece.

Japanese actor and legendary martial artist Shin’ichi “Sonny” Chiba, who inspired countless film icons including director Quentin Tarantino, passed away at the age of 82. 

What happened: On Thursday, Chiba’s management company announced that Chiba, an action superstar popularly known for his role in “Kill Bill,” had passed away due to complications with COVID-19, according to NPR.

New details have emerged as the family of Angelo Quinto, the Filipino American man who died while being restrained by Antioch police, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the department and accused the police chief of cover-up.

What happened: Antioch police responded to the family’s home on Dec. 23, 2020, after Isabella, his sister, called 911 while Quinto was going through a mental health crisis.
