Amazon has greenlit a Japanese adaptation of ABC’s reality dating series “The Bachelorette.”
Prime Video ordered the show on Wednesday with at least 20 other new and returning international series from Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, Spain and the U.K, The Wrap reported.
Having an Asian male appear on “The Bachelor” franchise is such a rare occurrence that it is always noteworthy when a new one is selected to be a part of the season.
For season 14 of “The Bachelorette”, John Graham, a 28-year old software engineer from San Francisco, California, is the sole bet who is of Asian descent.
This season’s The Bachelorette features the stunning 32-year-old attorney Rachel Lindsay, the first black lead in 15 years of the franchise.
