K-Pop Star Seungri Retires After Being Charged With Running Prostitution Ring

K-pop superstar Seungri announced his retirement from the industry — and consequently his part in legendary boy group BIGBANG — amid allegations that he supplied prostitutes to rich foreigners investing in his business in 2015.

The 28-year-old entrepreneur, who is scheduled to begin his mandatory military service on March 25, is also accused of allowing drug use at Burning Sun, the nightclub where he had been executive director, and bribery of police by club officials.

Korean Hospital Releases Official Update on T.O.P’s Condition

Following varied, conflicting reports on BIGBANG member T.O.P‘s condition attributed to police sources and the rapper’s relatives, doctors who are treating him at the Ewha Womans University Hospital in Mokdong, Seoul, called for a press conference on June 7 to provide an official update.

Police had previously claimed that the 29-year-old K-pop star, whose real name is Choi Seung-hyun, was not unconscious and just asleep, while his mother contradicted the claim and stated that he was unconscious when he was rushed to the hospital and remains in critical condition.

South Korean rapper Choi Seung-hyun, better known as T.O.P. of BIGBANG, was taken to the hospital after he had reportedly suffered a drug overdose on Tuesday, June 6 at 5 p.m. KST.

The 29-year-old K-pop artist was reportedly admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) and was placed under careful observation, according to AllKpop. Choi’s mother and other family members currently remain with him in the ICU, waiting for him to regain consciousness.

BIGBANG Star Kicked Out of Korean Military Service Over Marijuana Scandal

Just days after reports emerged of rapper Choi Seung-hyun, better known as T.O.P. of BIGBANG, was involved in a marijuana drug scandal, it has recently been revealed that he has been kicked out of his two-year mandatory military service.

His two-year enlistment time will, therefore, be reset, which means he will have to enlist again in the military in the future. According to Koreaboo, the development was announced after he was officially indicted for the drug scandal by the authorities.

Female Trainee Who Vaped Marijuana With BIGBANG Star REVEALED

K-pop fans erupted yesterday following reports of BIGBANG member T.O.P. getting charged for using marijuana, a banned substance in South Korea.

The reports noted that T.O.P had consumed the substance through a vape pen on multiple occasions with a female friend and K-pop trainee at his home in Seoul. Earlier today, that trainee was revealed to be Han Seo Hee, a former contestant on the reality show “Birth of a Great Star 3” in 2012.
