Fans of actress Ming Na Wen and her character Fennec Shand will have a lot to look forward to with the announcement of an upcoming new “Star Wars” show on Disney Plus.
Surprise spin-off: The show, titled “The Book of Boba Fett” was first hinted in the post-credits sequence after the season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian” and confirmed by executive producer Jon Favreau on Monday, Variety reported.
Ming-Na Wen has been tapped to guest-star in Comedy Central’s “Awkwafina is Nora from Queens,” an upcoming series loosely based on Awkwafina’s — or Nora Lum’s — life growing up in outer-borough New York City.
The “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” star, who was recently cast in “Star Wars: The Mandalorian,” will play Sandra, Nora’s “bohemian, earthy and spiritual aunt who comes for a visit,” according to TV Line.

The reveal came on August 23 during the Disney Legends Ceremony at the D23 Expo 2019 in Anaheim, California, according to Deadline.
Iconic actress Ming-Na Wen will be receiving the Disney Legends Award for her incredible contributions to the company, including being the voice of Mulan starting in 1996 and playing Agent Melinda May in Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
Disney CEO Bob Iger explained (via Cnet):
Ming-Na Wen, the voice behind Fa Mulan, joined in the outcry of fans who discovered that her name was nowhere in Netflix’s official description of the 1998 Disney classic.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star hinted at a cameo when asked if she would return to the franchise in some way.
Even though Valentine’s Day has passed, we have to back up a bit to recognize “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “Mulan” star Ming-Na Wen‘s adorable tribute to her husband, Eric Michael Zee.
The couple announced that they celebrated their 25th Valentine’s Day together on Instagram. And as a surprise, Zee came up with this amazing gift that will totally make even the biggest, baddest dude in the room go “aww…”.
Aside from the two live-action Mulan remakes currently in the works, the popular heroine from an ancient Chinese legend will also make an appearance in Disney’s “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2”.
While it is expectedly just a short scene where Mulan will be seen with all the Disney Princesses, fans are excited for this particular iteration of the character as it will mark the return of Ming-Na Wen reprising the role of Fa Mulan.
The original voice of Disney’s “Mulan”, Ming-Na Wen, has a very special request for Disney while they make their live-action version.
When the 53-year-old star was asked by Entertainment Tonight who she would like to see play the character of Mulan, she had only one request:
