In what may seem like a surprising decision, Singapore Airlines (SIA) reportedly turned down the offer to be included in “Crazy Rich Asians” out of fear of being misrepresented in movies.
Film producer Nina Jacobson admitted while speaking to The Wrap in an interview early last month that they were all shocked after SIA turned down their offer to be included in “Crazy Rich Asians,” considering how the movie takes place in Singapore.
A 19-year-old boy who pretended to be a Singapore Airlines pilot has been arrested for molesting a 15-year-old girl in Hong Kong.
According to The Independent, the boy, surnamed Sit, met the victim at a cafe on September 10. Inside, he claimed that his phone ran out of battery and needed to get his charger from the airport; he asked her to accompany him and she agreed. They boarded a bus, where Sit started to grab her breasts but reportedly stopped when the girl scolded him out loud. She then filed a police report on September 13, which ultimately led to his arrest.
It was just supposed to be a layover for a couple of nights, but little did she know that it was going to be her last flight.
Vanessa Yeap, a 38-year-old leading flight attendant for Singapore Airlines checked in at a San Francisco hotel for a layover of a long-haul January 28 flight. She and other crew member were to report back for a 1 a.m. flight on February 1, meaning they would have to check out of the hotel a few hours before their schedule.
