Netflix’s live-action adaptation of “Cowboy Bebop” starring John Cho was released on Friday and to celebrate the occasion, DJ Steve Aoki dropped a remix of the show’s classic theme “Tank!”

Reinterpretation: Aoki put his own spin on Japanese composer Yoko Kanno’s original composition with Latin-infused big band jazz music and his signature EDM sound.

“IYKYK”: Over the weekend, Netflix dropped teaser photos and videos of seminal moments from their remake of the cult-classic original anime series, including its opening sequence — accompanied by Yoko Kanno’s original track “Tank!” — and a still of John Cho as Spike Spiegel fighting against Alex Hassell as Vicious.

Netflix released the opening sequence for its “Cowboy Bebop” live-action series, and it is a fast-paced homage to the cult-classic original.

Netflix Announces Live-Action Adaptation of Anime ‘Cowboy Bebop’

Netflix has officially announced a live-action adaptation of the hit 90s Japanese anime “Cowboy Bebop.”

The project, which will be adapted as a 10-episode series, has been in the works since last year, according to Variety. Netflix will co-produce the live-action “Cowboy Bebop” alongside Tomorrow Studios, with the former in charge of handling physical production.
