This recent update follows last month’s announcement from YG Entertainment about the K-pop star shooting the music video for her solo single overseas. The South Korean entertainment agency shared that the upcoming video has “the highest production cost of all BLACKPINK videos to date,” as per Soompi.
Fans have speculated that part of Jisoo‘s music video was shot in Los Angeles, as her team shared photos of a Hollywood film set with an L.A. location tag on Instagram.
Jisoo will be the fourth and final member of BLACKPINK to release a solo project after Jennie, who released her single “Solo” in 2018, and Rosé and Lisa, who released their respective solo albums “R” and “Lalisa” in 2021.
Currently, BLACKPINK is on the Asia leg of their “Born Pinkworld tour, which will be followed by shows in Mexico and Australia. Next month, the quartet will make history as Coachella’s first K-pop headlining act.
