Coachella has recently announced its 2023 lineup and its three headlining acts, with one of them being K-pop girl group BLACKPINK.

On Wednesday, organizers of the annual world-renowned music and arts festival, which takes place in Indio, California, made the announcement on various social media platforms, such as Instagram and Twitter.

Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean and BLACKPINK will be this year’s headliners.

While BLACKPINK are ready to make history as Coachella’s first K-pop headliner, this isn’t their first time in Indio – back in 2019, they became the first-ever K-pop girl group to perform at the festival.

In addition to BLACKPINK, other notable acts of Asian descent include Jackson Wang, DPR Ian, DPR Live, UMI, Jai Paul, Diljit Dosanjh, Ali Sethi, Jai Wolf, Yaeji, Sunset Rollercoaster and Joy Crookes.

Last year’s Coachella was a wild ride, filled with dazzling outfit sightings, Aespa’s main stage performance, a viral shoutout to mango sticky rice and a surprise 2NE1 reunion, among other notable moments.

Coachella 2023’s first weekend will take place from April 14 to April 16, while its second weekend will take place from April 21 to April 23.
