After taking a few years off, South Korean star Jun Ji-Hyun, also known by her English name Gianna Jun, will be making her return to acting by joining the second and third seasons of “Kingdom.”
The actress rose to fame for her role as The Girl in the romantic comedy “My Sassy Girl,” one of the highest-grossing Korean comedies ever. She took a break from acting about four years ago and gave birth to her second son in January last year.

Filming for the second season of the Netflix original Korean series “Kingdom” has officially started.
Considered by many as a refreshing take on the otherwise overly saturated zombie genre, the series was brilliantly adapted by writer Kim Eun-hee and director Kim Seong-hun from the webcomic series “The Kingdom of the Gods“. The comic was authored by Kim Eun-hee and drawn by Yang Kyung-il.
