China is Spending $158 Billion to Get 3.4 Million People Out of Poverty By 2020

China in 2017 is set to relocate 3.4 million people living in poverty to less disadvantaged places in an effort to eliminate extreme poverty in the country by 2020, President Xi Jinping said.

The plan was announced in 2016, when 2.49 million people from high-poverty communities were moved to areas with better school and hospitals, access to roads, water or power, the National Development and Reform Commission said.

A new study by Fidelity suggests that married couples may not know each other as well as they think — 43% partners don’t even know how much their spouse makes.

The survey found that 4 out of 10 married people, regardless of whether they were men or women, can’t say which salary range their partner belongs. An additional 10% who tried to identify how much their parters made were off by at least $25,000.
