Blackpink member Lisa is set to make her acting debut as she joins the ensemble cast of HBO’s “The White Lotus” for its upcoming third season.
Role under wraps: While details regarding her character remain undisclosed, Variety revealed that the K-pop star will be credited under her full name, Lalisa Manobal.
The news comes amid Blackpink‘s continued success, with the members recently renewing their contracts with agency YG Entertainment but also pursuing individual ventures. With the role, Lisa follows in the footsteps of fellow Blackpink member Jennie, who made her acting debut in the HBO drama “The Idol” in 2023.
About the show: The award-winning HBO series follows the guests and employees of the fictional White Lotus resort chain. The third installment of “The White Lotus” is set to begin filming this month in Thailand’s Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok.
Lisa, who is of Thai descent, joins other previously announced cast members from Thailand, such as Thai National Artist Lek Patravadi, Dom Hetrakul and Tayme Thapthimthong.
Star-studded cast: The show’s third installment is set to feature an entirely new batch of cast members, except for Natasha Rothwell, who reprises her role as spa manager Belinda Lindsey from the first season. Other cast members include Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Miloš Biković, Christian Friedel, Morgana O’Reilly, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Aimee Lou Wood, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivolaand and Shalini Peiris.
Production on the third season recently began, with the series expected to be released sometime in 2025.

If this happened on campus, Stanford should issue a clear public update and specific safety actions.

Agree. People need facts and process, not silence. The school should confirm what is being investigated.

Also important to separate verified details from rumors so this does not spiral online.

The death threat part is extremely serious. Hoping law enforcement and campus security are already involved.
