K-pop girl group IVE released their debut studio album, “I’ve IVE,” led by the title track “I AM,” on Monday.
The new album features 11 songs in total, including the pre-release track “Kitsch” from last month.
The B-sides “Blue Blood” and “NOT YOUR GIRL” were notably first performed in February during IVE’s “The Prom Queens” fan concert.
Member Ahn Yu-jin penned the lyrics for “Heroine,” while member Jang Won-young wrote “Mine” and “Shine with Me.” Meanwhile, rappers Gaeul and Rei are credited with verses for “Kitsch,” “Hypnosis,” “NOT YOUR GIRL” and “Next Page.” Fellow Starship labelmate Exy of girl group WJSN co-wrote the side track “Lips.”
IVE also released a music video for “I AM” on Monday.
IVE’s debut studio album is a follow-up to last year’s single album “After Like,” which samples Gloria Gaynor’s legendary 1978 hit “I Will Survive.”
“I’ve IVE” will be the girl group’s first album promoted and distributed in partnership with American label Columbia Records.
IVE will embark on their upcoming Asia tour later this year, stopping in Taipei, Manila and Bangkok, among other cities.
