Hyolyn is looking to ‘Ice’ things up in summer comeback

  • K-pop soloist Hyolyn dropped her comeback album “Ice” today along with the music video for the track “No Thanks.”
  • The mini-album contains six songs, including the previously released singles “Laying Low” featuring Jooyoung and Hyolyn’s “Queendom” Season 2 finale song “Waka Boom” featuring Lee Youngji.
  • Hyolyn, who debuted as a solo artist in 2013 with the album “Love & Hate,” was also a member of the now disbanded girl group Sistar.
  • Sistar debuted in 2010 with the single “Push Push” and became known for their summer tunes such as “So Cool” (2011) and “Touch My Body” (2014), prompting fans to call them “Summer Queens.”

South Korean soloist Hyolyn released her cool and confident comeback album “Ice” today and shared the music video for the lead track “No Thanks.”

The mini-album features six songs in total, including “Over You,” “Body Talk,” “Ah Yeah” and two previously released records: “Layin Low” featuring Korean singer-songwriter Jooyung and her “Queendom” Season 2 finale track “Waka Boom” featuring rapper Lee Youngji.

WJSN unveil their ‘Last Sequence’ in new album and music video comeback

  • K-pop girl group WJSN released their newest comeback music video today “Last Sequence” off their album “Sequence.”
  • The single album boasts three other tracks including “Done,” their “Queendom” Season 2 winning song “Aura” and “Stronger,” a duet piece from members Dawon and Yeonjung.
  • WJSN will also be one of the groups to headline KCON LA 2022 in August.
  • The Starship Entertainment girl group debuted in 2016 with thirteen members.

K-pop girl group WJSN, fresh from their “Queendom” Season 2 win, dropped their summer comeback today with the album “Sequence” and title track “Last Sequence.”

The mini-album includes three other songs: “Done,” their “Queendom” Season 2-winning original song “Aura” and “Stronger,” sung as a duet by members Yeonjung and Dawon, who also composed the track. 

WJSN crowned the winner of Mnet’s ‘Queendom’ Season 2 competition

  • K-pop girl group WJSN has taken first place in Season 2 of Mnet’s reality show singing competition “Queendom.”
  • The show featured female idols and girl groups performing their hit tracks, covers of one another’s songs and new original comeback tracks to determine the best among them through streaming and fan votes.
  • The rankings for the other contestants were Loona in second place, Viviz in third, soloist Hyolyn in fourth, Kep1er in fifth and Brave Girls in last place.
  • Some fans have accused Mnet of rigging the voting system or misrepresenting the scores from the streamed songs ahead of the finale.
  • WJSN, Loona, Hyolyn and Kep1er have all announced summer comebacks, while Brave Girls and Loona are set to go on their first U.S. tours.

The Mnet reality show singing competition featured various female idols and girl groups performing their hit songs, covers and new comeback tracks to determine who was the best among them.
