‘Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’ trailer reveals Paldea region, Terastal forms and rideable legendaries

  • The Pokémon Company dropped a new trailer this morning to introduce the Paldea region for their new main series games, “Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.”
  • The trailer expands on the mystery behind two legendary Pokémon — Koraidon and Miraidon — who are shown as rideable creatures on land, sea and air since they can be used as a bike and glider, respectively. 
  • A new Terastal form mechanic can boost a Pokémon's power in battle and may even change its type.

A new “Pokémon Scarlet and Violet” trailer released this morning introduces players to the Paldea region, rideable legendaries and the new Terastal form mechanic. 

The trailer expands on the mystery behind two legendary Pokémon: Koraidon and Miraidon. They are shown as both partners for the player and rideable creatures on land, sea and air as they can be used as a bike and glider, respectively.

  • The Pokémon Company dropped the second trailer for their upcoming games “Pokémon Scarlet” and “Pokémon Violet,” set to release on Nov. 18.
  • The trailer shows off the two new legendary Pokémon, new professors and Pokémon, a new rival and an open-world multiplayer function.
  • The legendaries and professors that players encounter will both vary depending on which version they play, with each featuring distinct designs representing either ancient times or more advanced technologies.

The Pokémon Company released the second trailer for their upcoming main series title games “Pokémon Scarlet” and “Pokémon Violet”.

The biggest reveals of the trailer are the legendaries featured on the game’s box art, new Pokémon and the professor characters in the game. The trailer also shows off more Pokémon in the overworld, utilizing similar game mechanics as the Nintendo Switch side game, “Pokémon Legends: Arceus.” In a series first, Scarlet and Violet will offer an open-world multiplayer function, allowing you to explore the game’s various wildlands with up to three additional players.
