Netflix released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming K-drama series “Black Knight,” starring “Uncontrollably Fond” star Kim Woo-bin, on Tuesday.
The upcoming show is a live-action adaptation of Lee Yoon-gyun’s webtoon “Delivery Knight,” which depicts the lives of delivery drivers known as Black Knights who are responsible for delivering emergency supplies such as oxygen in a severely polluted Korea.
Kim plays renowned deliveryman “5-8” who delivers oxygen to underground homes. In the recently released teaser trailer, he is shown defending his supply truck from hunters.
Joining Kim are Song Seung-heon (“Voice”) as a tyrannical business magnate and ruler, Esom (“Kill Boksoon”) as a major-ranked officer working for the Defense Intelligence Command and Kang You-seok (“Start-Up”) as Sa-Wol, a young refugee who idolizes 5-8.
The series is written and directed by Cho Ui-seok, who is known for “Master” and “Cold Eyes.”
“Black Knight” is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on May 12. Check out its first teaser trailer below:
