‘Cocaine Bear’ star Kahyun Kim cast in NBC mockumentary ‘St. Denis Medical’
Kahyun Kim, best known for her roles in the comedy horror film “Cocaine Bear” and the fantasy drama TV series “American Gods,” has been cast in NBC’s mockumentary “St. Denis Medical.”
The comedy pilot follows doctors and nurses struggling to treat patients in an underfunded hospital in Oregon. According to Deadline, the show will be directed by Ruben Fleischer with a script by Justin Spitzer, the creator of the 2015 NBC series “Superstore,” and Eric Ledgin.
Kim, 33, will portray Serena, an Emergency Department nurse with a preference for homeopathy. The show’s other cast members include Josh Lawson (“Mortal Kombat”), Mekki Leeper (“The Sex Lives of College Girls”), David Alan Grier and Wendi McLendon-Covey.
In addition to “St. Denis Medical,” Kim will be co-starring in Max Rissman’s upcoming feature film “Upon Waking” and Myles Clohessy’s mystery horror film “Fire Island.”
