The animated and live-action hybrid special “Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration” will pay homage to the 1991 Disney film while also featuring original live performances on reimagined sets with new costumes.

The Wrap shared photos of H.E.R., 25, as the Disney heroine on Tuesday, giving fans a first look at the Grammy and Academy award-winning artist in the iconic role.

H.E.R., born Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson, will make history as the first-ever Afro Filipino actor to play the role of Belle onscreen. She will be joined by several other stars, including Rita Moreno as the narrator, Josh Groban as the Beast, Shania Twain as Mrs. Potts, David Alan Grier as Cogsworth, Martin Short as Lumière and Joshua Henry as Gaston.

The special, directed by Hamish Hamilton with Jon M. Chu as executive producer, will premiere on ABC on Dec. 15 and on Disney Plus on Dec. 16.
