Jeremy Lin kicked off his 14th professional basketball season with Taiwan’s New Taipei Kings last week, realizing a long-held dream by sharing the court with his younger brother Joseph.
Dynamic duo: Jeremy and Joseph Lin played together professionally for the first time on Nov. 8 in a well-fought victory against South Korea’s SK Knights in the East Asian Super League (EASL), reported South China Morning Post.
The veteran point guard, renowned for his “Linsanity” era in the NBA, contributed 12 points, eight rebounds and nine assists. Meanwhile, Joseph scored 21 points, including five three-pointers, to secure the win.

Dream come true: Following the match, the 35-year-old Taiwanese American star reiterated that he has long dreamt of teaming up with his younger brother Joseph, 31, emphasizing the joy for their parents who would no longer need to support different teams. He attributed the win to his brother as he struggled with his shots for the most part of the game.
“During halftime, I told Wei-wei [Joseph] ‘Play your game and don’t care about me’ because I know he wanted to help me, but I told him ‘We need you to step up on the offensive end now because I can’t,'” said Jeremy, according to Focus Taiwan.
Ready for battle: Jeremy aims to establish The Kings as a pan-regional force in the EASL and a contender in the P. League+, in which the team finished the last season as playoff runners-up.
“The goals of the new season are to win the P. League+ and the East Asia Super League,” he told media earlier this month. “EASL is a special opportunity to compete with different leagues, there are a lot of great players out there and we look forward to playing against them.”
