‘Fool’s Paradise’ trailer features Ken Jeong and all-star cast in Charlie Day’s directorial debut
The official trailer for Charlie Day’s directorial debut “Fool’s Paradise,” starring Ken Jeong, was released on Wednesday.
Day plays two characters in the satirical comedy: a mute man and a belligerent method actor. The former, who is released from a mental health facility without any further support, is discovered wandering around the streets of Los Angeles by a movie producer, played by the late Ray Liotta. The man is offered the chance to replace the method actor in a Western he is filming since they look very similar.
Jeong, who plays a publicist in the film, gives the mute man the stage name Latte Pronto and helps him navigate the highs and lows of Hollywood.
The film’s ensemble cast includes Adrien Brody, Kate Beckinsale, Jason Bateman, Common, Jason Sudeikis and John Malkovich, among others.
Day is best known for his role as Charlie Kelly in the hit FX series “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” He recently voiced Luigi in “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” which was released on April 5.
Jeong is currently a panelist on Fox’s “The Masked Singer” and also hosts and executive produces Fox’s singing competition “I Can See Your Voice.” He is slated to appear in the Fox sitcom “10% Happier,” as well as the highly anticipated “Community” reunion movie.
“Fool’s Paradise” will hit cinemas on May 12. Check out its official trailer below:
