Watch: Full Episode 1 of ‘American Born Chinese’ is free to view

The entire first episode of Disney+’s live-action series “American Born Chinese” is now free to watch on YouTube.
Key details: The popular streaming service posted the 43-minute episode on YouTube on June 21, where it will be available to view only until July 23.
“American Born Chinese,” which is an adaptation of Gene Luen Yang’s 2006 graphic novel of the same name, follows the story of Jin Wang, a Chinese American teenager whose world gets turned upside down after he finds himself stuck in a war that involves Chinese mythological gods.
The show’s cast includes Ben Wang, Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Freddy Wong, Jim Liu, Yeo Yann Yann, Daniel Wu and Sydney Taylor. Some of the show’s guest stars include Ronny Chieng, James Hong, Jimmy O. Yang and Stephanie Hsu.
Reception: Since May, “American Born Chinese” has received mostly positive reviews. It currently has a critics score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and 73% on Metacritic.
