The show’s new teaser trailer features a school hallway and the aftermath of a fierce battle.
Series protagonist Jin Wang, played by Ben Wang, can be seen walking through the hallway and observing still-blazing claw marks on a wall, broken lights and torn posters before opening a glowing locker.
“American Born Chinese” follows the story of Jin, the son of immigrant parents living in the U.S. His life turns upside down once he finds himself entangled in an epic battle that involves Chinese mythological gods.
Disney released a first-look video for the series at the D23 Expo in September 2022.
