Here’s What Happens When You Photoshop Men Out of Important World Events
A newly released video clip exposes the lack of women in high profile positions through the use of Photoshop.
Elle UK edited out all the men in several pictures of government, media and entertainment workers to show the lack of women in influential roles.
The clip portrays photos of women who were left isolated and alone in giant rooms that were once filled with mostly men.
The clip is a promotional video for a new activist campaign Elle UK is leading called #MoreWomen. The publication said in a blog post:
“Smart, successful women are too often portrayed as one-offs: fierce individualists concerned with their own success. [I]n celebration of today’s new ‘girl squads’, we’re urging influencers, personalities and smart thinkers to spread the word.”
