  • Blackpink’s Kim Jisoo has been named the newest ambassador for online role-playing video game “Maplestory,” succeeding Olympic archer Kim Jae Duk.
  • In a YouTube series on the “Maplestory” Korean channel, Jisoo will answer questions about her player experience and share fun content with fans.
  • Jisoo’s appointment as ambassador continues the legacy of Nexon founder Kim Jung-ju, who passed away earlier this year at age 54.
  • Jisoo’s history as the gamer in Blackpink is well documented across various videos and interviews, making her appointment as ambassador a “Sure Thing.”

“Maplestory” game developer Nexon announced earlier this month that Blackpink’s Kim Jisoo has been appointed as its official 2022 ambassador.

Kim, known mononymously to fans as Jisoo, is the online role-playing game’s second-ever ambassador, officially succeeding Olympic archer and long-time “Maplestory” player Kim Jae Duk on March 10.
