Many logos of popular brands and companies we know today may be unrecognizable to us a year or a decade ago.
Google’s font has changed, but its colors have stayed relatively the same. On the other hand, Instagram’s colors have drastically changed, but its general shape remains identifiable. Some iconic company logos have undergone extreme makeovers while others receive slight modifications. This comprehensive list compiled by Bored Panda provides a glimpse into the evolution of these businesses and their beloved logos.

Bernardo works as a multimedia producer and writer at the communication and public affairs unit of the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity. His latest project, Logo+Art, is “An examination of art and capitalism; of expression and function; of personal and corporate.”
DesignCrowd hosted a contest for the best hybrid logo designs of competitor companies and asked applicants to submit their most creative ideas.
The top logo mashups were uploaded by the site. The redesigned images included companies such as Apple and Android, Google and Yahoo, Visa and MasterCard, and McDonald’s and Burger King.
It’s almost hard to believe that some of these companies are over 100 years old, so it’s no surprise that their logos have become nostalgic staples in our society.
