“Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins,” which stars Henry Golding as the titular iconic character, dropped its first trailer on Sunday during the MTV Movie and TV Awards.
About the film: The highly anticipated spinoff from the G.I. Joe franchise centers on Golding’s character as he is “welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan and taught the way of the ninja warrior,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
British Japanese actor Andrew Koji has been tapped to play Storm Shadow in the third “G.I. Joe” spin-off movie “Snake Eyes.”
The 32-year-old actor will take the role of Thomas “Tommy” Arashikage, a Japanese American member of the U.S. Army special operations unit who would later be known as Storm Shadow, according to The Wrap.

Citing sources privy to the film’s development, Variety reports that filmmaker Robert Schwentke (The Divergent Series: “Insurgent” and “Allegiant”) has been tapped to helm the project currently being written by screenwriter Evan Spiliotopoulos (“Beauty and the Beast” and ”The Huntsman: Winter’s War”).
