Stray Kids achieves Billboard feat no other artist has accomplished before

Stray Kids have marked their seventh consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with “Karma,” surpassing BTS’ previous record of six chart-toppers.
Peak performance: “Karma” debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart dated Sept. 6 with 313,000 equivalent album units in its first week, marking both career highs for traditional album sales (296,000) and the third-biggest week by units of 2025 among all albums. The achievement makes Stray Kids the only act in the chart’s history to see every single entry since their debut climb to the top spot. The group’s unprecedented streak began in 2022 with “Oddinary” and continued through “Maxident,” “Ate” and “Hop.”
With their seventh chart topper, Stray Kids surpasses BTS, Linkin Park and the Dave Matthews Band for the most No. 1s among groups on the Billboard 200 this century. The album also bested the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack, which had held the No. 2 position for six nonconsecutive weeks.
What they’re saying: Stray Kids acknowledged their surprise at the historic milestone. “Achieving seven consecutive No. 1s on the Billboard 200 chart feels a little unbelievable, and we are a bit stunned. We are deeply honoured and amazed,” the eight-member group said through their label, JYP Entertainment. “We sincerely thank Stay, our fans, and everyone who supports and loves our music.”
