Simu Liu and Jeremy Lin are teaming up once again for another celebrity charity basketball game.
The Marvel star and NBA Champion are preparing for the third iteration of their Canadian Chinese Youth Athletic Association (CCYAA) Celebrity Classic charity basketball game in Toronto on July 8 at the University of Toronto’s Goldring Centre. The charity game will benefit the Jeremy Lin Foundation and CCYAA.
The duo previously headlined the charity game last year, which raised $50,000 for the Jeremy Lin Foundation.
Last year’s game featured various Asian celebrities, including Hasan Minhaj, Ronny Chieng, Steven Lim, Philip Wang, Ryan Bergara, Steven Lim, Charles Melton and Leenda Dong.
Players in this year’s game have not yet been announced. Lin, who currently plays for the Kaohsiung 17Live Steelers in Taiwan’s P. League+, was recently suffered a head injury during a game, putting the future of his basketball career into question. Whether his injury will affect the upcoming charity game has not been clarified.
Tickets for the game go on sale June 9 at 12 p.m. ET through the CCYAA website.
