Hello, Everyone!

New York City will add Diwali, the festival of lights, to its list of public school holidays, recognizing the city's growing South Asian and Indo-Caribbean communities, according to Mayor Eric Adams.

The change will take effect for the 2023-2024 school calendar as this year's Diwali falls on a Sunday. With over 200,000 city residents celebrating Diwali, the move reflects the evolving demographics and inclusivity of New York City.

The bill awaits Governor Kathy Hochul's signature, while Rep. Grace Meng introduced legislation to make Diwali a federal holiday.

Would you try the crocodile ramen?

I would. If you watch the video, you see they do cook it and it looks like a roasted piece of meat.
