Every employee’s nightmare, especially if they’re falling asleep on the job, is getting busted by their boss.

It might be especially embarrassing if your boss happens to be Richard Branson, the billionaire founder of Virgin Group. Richard Branson recently shared a photo of himself and the employee he found sleeping on the job.

The staff member, who is seen peacefully dozing off on a couch in Virgin Australia’s Sydney office, was on standby at the time. The sleeping employee is pictured in his suit and waistcoat. His name badge is visible on one side, but his purple tie has been loosened, likely for comfort.

In the photo, Branson is seen crouching on the side of the couch while other employees are smiling in the background. The company founder was paying a visit to Virgin Australia and made a stop in Sydney. He said:

“I popped into the office and the airport to say hello and check in to see what the team are up to. This guy wasn’t up to much at all — I caught him sleeping on the job! Wow, did he get a shock when I woke him up.”

The story gets even funnier. Branson continued:

“He must have thought he was dreaming because he went straight back to sleep. To be fair, he was on standby, getting some much needed rest.”

The photo was quickly Photoshopped by the internet to be the latest in the series of people who sleep on the job.
