Netflix has released the first trailer for its murder mystery K-drama series “Celebrity.”
The plot: The upcoming Netflix K-drama original was made in collaboration with South Korea’s Studio Dragon. It will center around the journey of Seo A-ri, a self-proclaimed lowlife as she delves into the glitzy world of celebrities, uncovering the dark underbelly of fame.
Cast and crew: Directed by Kim Chul-gyu, “Celebrity” features a notable cast. A-ri will be played by “Romance Is a Bonus Book” and “Sweet Home” star Park Gyu-young. Joining her are Kang Min-hyuk, best known as the drummer for Korean pop-rock band CNBLUE, as the male lead Han Joon-kyung. Lee Chung-ah from “VIP” will make her Netflix debut as Yoon Shi-hyun. The show will also star singer and actor Lee Song-gun and Jun Hyo-seong, formerly of the girl group Secret.
Release Date: “Celebrity” will premiere on June 30 and run for 12 episodes.
