Netflix drops official trailer for K-drama ‘King the Land’ starring Lee Jun-ho, YoonA
Netflix recently released the official trailer for its upcoming K-drama series “King the Land” starring 2PM’s Lee Jun-ho and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA.
The show centers around Lee’s charismatic and intelligent character Gu Won, the heir to a family-controlled conglomerate who becomes unexpectedly caught in a fierce inheritance battle. Meanwhile, YoonA plays Cheon Sa-rang, a humble woman thrilled to secure a job at King Hotel, which is owned by Gu Won’s affluent family.
“Amid a tense inheritance fight, a charming heir clashes with his hardworking employee who’s known for her irresistible smile — which he cannot stand,” the show’s tagline states.
This marks Lee’s return to the K-drama world after his role as Yi San/King Jeongjo in the historical drama “The Red Sleeve” last year. As for YoonA, she recently starred in the MBC/Disney+ series “Big Mouth.”
“King the Land” is directed by Im Hyun-wook with a script by by Choi Rom and “All of Us Are Dead” screenwriter Chun Sung-il. It is scheduled to premiere on June 17 on the South Korean network JTBC and will also be made available for streaming on Netflix.
New episodes of the 16-episode series will be released on Saturdays and Sundays. Check out its official trailer below:
