Man wanted for spitting at Asian woman, yelling racist remarks in Boston

The MBTA Transit Police are searching for a man who allegedly attacked an Asian woman at a subway station earlier this month.
What happened: The incident occurred at Broadway Station on the red line at around 1:15 p.m. on Sept. 8. The suspect, captured shirtless on surveillance camera, spat on the victim and “made racially motivated statements towards her ethnicity, police reportedly said.
Possible charges: The man faces assault, battery and civil rights charges.

The big picture: This appears to be the second incident of an attack in a little more than a month at the Red Line. On Aug. 4, a group of teenagers reportedly fired gel beads directly into the face of a 49-year-old woman who asked them to behave.
