Indonesian-born actor Lukita Maxwell has landed a leading role in the upcoming horror film “They Listen” alongside John Cho. 
Plot details are unknown at the moment, but Deadline has reported that Maxwell will play the daughter of Cho and Katherine Waterston’s characters.
Chris Weitz, who has previously worked on films such as “About a Boy,” “The Golden Compass” and “A Better Life,” will serve as director and producer.

Maxwell is best known for her role as Alice on the Apple TV Plus series “Shrinking.” She was a series regular on the HBO Max series “Generation” and will star in FilmNation’s forthcoming project “The Young Wife.”
“They Listen” will be presented by Blumhouse and Sony. It is scheduled to hit theaters on Aug. 25.
