Gucci is celebrating the Year of the Rabbit with a special collection released for Lunar New Year.
“As the dawn of the Year of the rabbit awakens with Spring, a season of new beginnings, the House presents a capsule collection teeming with playful and refined iterations of the animal,” the upscale Italian fashion brand wrote on their website.
As photographed by Max Siedentopf, the collection boasts an eclectic explosion of colors and prints.
The campaign features a “serene group of friends” against a fantastical backdrop of vibrant flowers. As the group encounters rabbits in the field, their playful nature rubs off on friends, who jump and run through the mystical area.
To ensure the rabbits’ safety during the production, Gucci revealed that an animal welfare organization, Bureau Veritas, was present and verified the safety of animals.
The capsule collection — available for women, men and children — includes ready-to-wear garments, bags, shoes, silks and accessories.
The collection emulates the anticipation of spring through bright colors and floral-like designs. The designs are also inspired by the rabbit, which can be seen hopping through the capsule pieces available.
