The television world is highly competitive, and in order to stay ahead of the curve, up-and-coming news anchors are feeling the need to stand out to land high ratings like 21-year-old Enki Bracaj.
Bracaj recently auditioned for a position at Albania’s Zjarr TV, but she made sure her performance was memorable by wearing a blouse that was extremely revealing. Bracaj said in an interview with Daily Mail:
“It is not easy to enter the world of television.
“So it was obvious that if I wanted to make it I had to be brave and offer something different.”
While some might think her outfit was inappropriate for the high-profile station, the powers that be at the news network were extremely impressed with her performance and confidence. Bracaj said:
“I checked first with my parents.
“When I found that they also supported me in my decision, it wasn’t a problem for me to go ahead like this. I simply found a way to put myself ahead and also ensure that my channel gets the best ratings.”
After her ratings skyrocketed, the news station offered the former public relations student a position on an international news program.
So far her wardrobe decisions have not harmed her viewing figures according to a spokesman for the channel.
Many people might not know this, but despite our large and loyal following which we are immensely grateful for, NextShark is still a small bootstrapped startup that runs on no outside funding or loans.
Everything you see today is built on the backs of warriors who have sacrificed opportunities to help give Asians all over the world a bigger voice.
However, we still face many trials and tribulations in our industry, from figuring out the most sustainable business model for independent media companies to facing the current COVID-19 pandemic decimating advertising revenues across the board.
We hope you consider making a contribution so we can continue to provide you with quality content that informs, educates and inspires the Asian community.
Even a $1 contribution goes a long way. Thank you for everyone’s support. We love you all and can’t appreciate you guys enough.
