Constance Wu says having second baby is like ‘going from one to 20’

What happened: Wu, 41, shared her experience as a new mother-of-two during an episode of “Live with Kelly and Mark” on Thursday.

Co-host Kelly Ripa, 53, noted that Wu is the “most covert child birther of all people,” pointing out how the actor managed to keep her delivery a secret from everyone.

 

What she said: In the interview, Ripa asked the “Crazy Rich Asians” star what it was “like to go from one to two,” to which she responded, “It is exponential.”

“It is like going from one to 20, I feel like,” Wu added.

Being the older sister: Wu then explained that it has been lovely as her two children are “very sweet with each other.”

“My older kid is a girl and she’s just very naturally nurturing and really excited to be a big sister. So that’s been really nice,” she continued.

About their differences: When Ripa asked Wu if her two children have any differences, the “Hustlers” actor noted that while there are “definitely differences,” she would not say “that there are gender-related differences.”

“I think they’re just different people,” Wu explained. “I do think he is an easier baby but I think that’s also because my partner and I are less stressed, because we’ve done it before. We’re not freaking out.”

Second pregnancy: Reports of Wu being pregnant for the second time began circulating in February when the “Fresh Off the Boat” actor was spotted with a visible baby bump while taking a stroll in a park in Los Angeles. She eventually confirmed the news in an Instagram Story post that same month that “Filipinese Baby #2 [is] coming soon.”

Breaking the news: Wu broke the news of giving birth to a second child, whose birthdate has not been publicly revealed, during an episode of Danielle Robay’s “PrettySmart” podcast in July, telling the show host, “Breaking news. Nobody knew I had a son.”
