While many boxers stand by the superstition that sex before an upcoming fight can deter victory, UFC fighter Conor McGregor disagrees and says he has as much sex as possible before his fights.

Last night, McGregor appeared on “Conan” to promote his match against Chad Mendes at UFC 189.

After McGregor touched on his mindset for the upcoming bout, Conan questioned McGregor’s position on having sex before a fight. McGregor laughed and said:

“That is most certainly a superstition that I do not abide by. I definitely have as much sex as possible.”

The crowd was audibly moved by the contained confidence that McGregor spoke with, but when Conan mentioned the possibility of a fight with “Money” Mayweather, they became electrified. McGregor has previously stated his disagreement with the outcome of Mayweather’s famed fight with Pacquiao, and he also told Esquire:

“If you put me face-to-face with Floyd Mayweather—pound-for-pound boxing’s best—if I fought Floyd, I would kill him in less than 30 seconds. It would take me less than 30 seconds to wrap around him like a boa constrictor and strangle him.”

    McGregor restated on “Conan”:

“I’ve said it before, I don’t think boxing is the style of fighting that can beat Floyd, but saying that, there are many, many forms of fighting that can beat him. If we were to get it on, I would most certainly dismantle him.”
