It was a badass proposal witnessed by the crowd who were just as shocked as the lucky guy himself.

The event unfolded as the lady from Chengdu got down on one knee and proposed to the love of her life. She yelled (via NetEase):
“I finally earned enough money for your beloved Harley! Marry me! I will put your name on the property deed!”
The lady just got back to China after studying abroad, so she hasn’t really seen her guy for some time. When asked about the role reversion, she said (via Shanghaiist):
“Proposing isn’t the man’s job. Why should women wait around for the man to propose? I want to be more progressive. If you like someone, go for it. Time is not an issue; live life to the fullest.”
And that, folks, is how you kick off happily ever after.
This proposal adds to the list of unforgettable ones in China, with some ending up with yes’s for good reasons, and no’s for, well, the not-so-lucky.
