BTS to release memoir ‘Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS’
A memoir by BTS titled “Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS” is set to hit shelves on July 9.
The upcoming book will be released in the U.S. through the K-pop boy group’s U.S. publisher, Flatiron Books.
It was written by journalist Myeongseok Kang and all seven BTS members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook.
English translations were led by Anton Hur in collaboration with Clare Richards and Slin Jung.
The book has an initial print run of 1 million copies.
Flatiron has reportedly required booksellers to sign an affidavit to stock copies of the book on its official release date.
The BTS memoir is already a bestseller on Amazon and Barnes & Noble due to the overwhelming number of pre-orders placed by BTS’ fans, known as ARMY.
Taylor Swift’s fans, commonly called Swifties, had also placed several pre-orders for the book, which was originally called “4C Untitled Flatiron Nonfiction Summer 2023,” on the assumption that it would be a Swift memoir.
