Boy is Caught Taking Selfies in the Trunk of a Moving Car on a Chinese Highway

Source: NextShark Editorial
Kids nowadays are willing to do just about anything to get the perfect selfie. It’s no wonder some kids have died “doing it for the ‘gram.”
On Monday, a boy was spotted taking selfies while in the trunk of a moving car that was traveling down a highway in Chengdu, China.
The image went viral yesterday on Weibo, China’s equivalent of Twitter, and has netizens commenting.
“Why would you risk your life for taking a selfie?” said a web user from Beijing.
Hopefully, the boy got through the whole car ride without any injuries.

If this happened on campus, Stanford should issue a clear public update and specific safety actions.

Agree. People need facts and process, not silence. The school should confirm what is being investigated.

Also important to separate verified details from rumors so this does not spiral online.

The death threat part is extremely serious. Hoping law enforcement and campus security are already involved.

This is where official reporting and support channels need to be visible and easy to access.

Can NextShark keep a timeline thread here as updates come in? That would help keep context in one place.
