“Bling Empire” star Anna Shay has died at 62.
What happened: In a statement on Monday, the reality TV star’s family wrote about her death, saying, it “saddens our hearts to announce that Anna Shay… has passed away at the early age of 62 from a stroke.”
Shay leaves behind her son, Kenny Kemp, and her unnamed grandchildren.
What loved ones are saying: Shay’s family described Shay as a “loving mother, grandmother, charismatic star and our brightest ray of sunshine.”
Anna taught us many life lessons on how not to take life too seriously and to enjoy the finer things. Her impact on our lives will be forever missed but never forgotten.”
About Shay: Shay starred in three seasons of Netflix‘s “Bling Empire.” The show follows the lives of wealthy Asians and Asian Americans in Los Angeles.
Shay’s mother, Ai Oizumi Shay, was part Russian and part Japanese. Meanwhile, her father was Pacific Architects and Engineers founder Edward Shay. 
In 2006, the Netflix star and her brother Allen reportedly sold their father’s company for $1.2 billion.
Shay’s last Instagram post is from December 2022, in which she told her followers “happy holiday … May all your dreams come true.”
Tributes: Following the announcement of her death, many of Shay’s “Bling Empire” cast members, including Kelly Mi Li and Kevin Kreider, took to Instagram to extend their condolences.
