Although all members of Blackpink recently renewed their group contract with YG Entertainment, they will not be renewing their individual contracts for solo endeavors with the agency. 
The announcement: On Friday, YG Entertainment announced the news and expressed support for the girl group members’ solo activities.
“We have agreed not to proceed with additional contracts for [the members’] individual activities,” the agency said in a statement, according to Soompi. “We will do our utmost to support BLACKPINK’s activities, and we will cheer on the members’ individual activities with warm hearts. Thank you.”
Jennie’s company: The announcement comes days after Jennie launched her own label, OA (Odd Atelier), for her solo activities. The brand, which was founded last month, has quickly gained popularity, accumulating 1.4 million followers on Instagram. The page showcases black-and-white photos of Jennie wearing various outfits, such as a dress and a hoodie, featuring the brand’s logo, providing a glimpse into the her line’s aesthetic.
Group contract renewal: On Dec. 6, all four members of BlackpinkJennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisarenewed their contract with YG Entertainment for activities as a group. 
Throughout their initial seven-year contract with the agency, the members have also debuted as soloists: Jennie in 2018, Rosé and Lisa in 2021 and Jisoo in 2023. The other three members have not yet disclosed their future plans for their individual activities.
