BLACKPINK’s Lisa, the first K-pop soloist and female K-pop act to achieve 1 billion streams on Spotify, used her commemorative plaque to savor her favorite Thai dishes.
A culinary celebration: Lisa received a special plaque from Spotify after reaching 1 billion streams with her track “Money,” released in November 2021, on the music-streaming platform earlier this year. This marks her fourth solo achievement with Guinness World Records.
Lisa became the first solo K-pop winner at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2022 as well as the first solo K-pop winner at 2022’s MTV Europe Music Awards. Lisa also has the most followers, over 98.7 million, for a K-pop artist on Instagram, as of this writing.

Dining on Thai dishes: In a video shared on Spotify‘s Instagram and YouTube accounts, Lisa is seen celebrating the award in Paris by transforming her plaque into a makeshift plate for a mouthwatering Thai-styled shrimp omelet, called “khai jiao.”

In the clip, Lisa is shown skillfully preparing the dish, careful not to leave fingerprints on her prestigious award. As she prepares the dish, the video provides fascinating stats about “Money,” highlighting its inclusion in over 14 million playlists and listing the top 10 countries streaming the track the most.
She then goes on to enjoy a coconut ice cream sandwich with sticky rice called “itim khanom pang.”
Realizing her dreams: Lisa reflected on the milestone, expressing her gratitude to fans for their overwhelming support.

“I feel like it’s something unbelievable that my songs have this many people who have listened to them. It makes me proud of myself and makes me want to keep making music. I would like to thank everybody who has made my dreams come true.”
