BLACKPINK announces encore shows for North American ‘Born Pink’ tour
BLACKPINK will embark on an encore leg of their “Born Pink” world tour in North America later this year.
The announcement was made on Friday, along with the release of a teaser and presale ticketing information via fan community platform Weverse.
Fans will have the option to register for fan club presale or general presale. Fan club presale requires multiple steps, including having a valid U.S. or Canada mobile number and a BLINK membership card, the latter of which can be purchased via Weverse.
Those with a BLINK membership must complete a presale application on Weverse as well as a registration form on the BLACKPINK Live website. Once both of those are completed, registered fans may receive a text with a presale code to buy tickets, although this is not guaranteed.
While no official venue details and concert dates have been announced yet, a few U.S. venues updated their profile pictures on social media to a black-and-pink color scheme following the encore tour news.
These include the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the Allegiant Stadium in Nevada, Oracle Park in San Francisco and the Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles.
Adding to the stadium speculation is a recently shared photo of Oracle Park, which advertised a BLACKPINK encore show a week before the official announcement was made. According to the photo, BLACKPINK will perform there on August 22.
BLACKPINK’s “Born Pink” world tour sold out 14 shows in North America in October and November last year. They have ventured across Asia and Europe and are slated to perform in Mexico, Australia and at an additional stadium show in Paris in July. The K-pop quartet will also perform at the BST Hyde Park music festival in London around that time.
