Netflix unveiled the official trailer for “Black Mirror” Season 6 on Wednesday.
The recently released trailer for the hit anthology series features snippets of five new episodes: “Joan is Awful,” “’Loch Henry,” “Beyond the Sea,” “Mazey Day” and “Demon 79.”
Fans can expect “the most unpredictable, unclassifiable and unexpected season yet,” according to Netflix.
The streaming giant also recently released descriptions of each of the upcoming episodes.
In “Joan is Awful,” which stars Annie Murphy, Salma Hayek Pinault, Michael Cera, Himesh Patel, Rob Delaney and Ben Barnes, a woman named Joan is “stunned to discover a global streaming platform has launched a prestige TV drama adaptation of her life — in which she is portrayed by Hollywood A-lister Salma Hayek Pinault.”
In “Loch Henry,” which stars Samuel Blenkin, Myha’la Herrold, Daniel Portman, John Hannah and Monica Dolan, a couple journey to “a sleepy Scottish town to start work on a genteel nature documentary, but find themselves drawn to a juicy local story involving shocking events of the past.”
In “Beyond the Sea,” which is set in an alternative 1969 and stars Aaron Paul, Josh Hartnett, Kate Mara, Auden Thornton and Rory Culkin, “two men on a perilous high-tech mission wrestle with the consequences of an unimaginable tragedy.”
In “Mazey Day,” which stars Zazie Beetz, Clara Rugaard and Danny Ramirez, “a troubled starlet is dogged by invasive paparazzi while dealing with the consequences of a hit-and-run incident.”
Finally, in “Demon 79,” which stars Anjana Vasan, Paapa Essiedu, Katherine Rose Morley and David Shields, “a meek sales assistant is told she must commit terrible acts to prevent disaster.”
Filming for “Black Mirror” Season 6 reportedly started in June last year.
In addition to the series’ showrunner and writer Charlie Brooker, its other executive producers include Bisha K. Ali, Annabel Jones and Jessica Rhoades.
Ali notably created the Disney+ series “Ms. Marvel,” which stars Iman Vellani.
“Black Mirror” Season 6 will premiere on Netflix on June 15. Check out its official trailer below:
