A new video shows how packs of instant ramen can be fused with chicken, creating a dish that looks surprisingly mouthwatering.
Moving the news: The video, uploaded to Instagram by Jason Ortynski on Friday, has received over 77,000 likes. It shows the food influencer showcasing the crunchy dish made up of at least three packs of Samyang spicy Korean noodles, chicken breasts and pickle juice.
“You can make this with any noodle pack,” Ortynski wrote in the post description. “Use just the seasoning if you don’t want the spicy sauce.”
How it is made: According to the instructions, the chicken must first be brined in pickle juice for an hour. They are then coated with flour, egg and crushed Samyang noodles before being fried in 375 degrees Fahrenheit heat until golden brown.
Once done, two spoons of the oil are mixed with the spicy noodle sauce packets. The results are then used to coat the fried chicken before its topped off with the crunchy seasoning.
People’s reaction: One Instagram user thanked Ortynski for the video, writing in their comment, “I’m glad to see I’m not the only sane person on this earth that eats dry ramen.”
“That’s a sonic boom crunch,” another comment read.
Meanwhile, one user expressed skepticism about the dish, explaining, “The noodles are rock hard out of the bag and need to be cooked to be enjoyed. So if your deep frying something that’s already hard I can’t see how it can be good.”
